A system takes one setup, or a short list of them, and locks it down to one ticker, one chart timeframe, one indicator, and exact stop and target math. There's no judgment call left, only whether the bar matches the rule.
There's no universal answer, which is the point of the two-minute system quiz linked below: it matches your answers to one of these systems instead of guessing off a ticker name. In general, a system built on a single, visible indicator (VWAP, an EMA, an opening range) is easier to learn than one built on order flow or delta.
The underlying setup, sure. The exact numbers, no. Each system's stop and target math is calibrated to that instrument's typical range and tick size; the ES 1-minute Globex system's point math doesn't transfer to TQQQ, and TQQQ's cent-based targets don't transfer to a futures contract. Treat a system as a template for building your own on a new ticker, not a plug-and-play swap.
This site doesn't set a minimum, since it depends on the instrument, your position size, and your broker's margin requirements, especially for the futures systems (ES, NQ, RTY). Yes; three of the fifteen systems on this page are built specifically for futures contracts, priced in exact ticks and points instead of cents, since a futures contract's minimum price movement doesn't work the same way a stock's does.
The SPY system here is built on a 5-minute VWAP reversion, entering when price stretches too far from VWAP's standard deviation bands and reverts back. The QQQ system is built on a 5-minute opening range breakout instead, trading whichever side of the first 15 minutes' range breaks. Same market, two different approaches, since VWAP reversion and opening range breakout answer different questions about the same instrument.
Mechanically, in the units: a stock or ETF system prices its stop and target in cents, a futures system prices them in ticks and points, and each futures contract has its own tick size and point value. Conceptually, the setups themselves (VWAP reversion, opening range breakout, RSI reversion) work the same either way; only the math underneath changes.
